Brian Bress & the Band in front of the cave
Here are some stills from a recent shoot in Joshua Tree for the band Wounded Lion’s new music video directed by Brian Bress:
I shot the video on the 5DmII, with ND9 filter in a mattebox, and a rota-pola on the lenses. This helped with the bright light movement and shutter issues I found when shooting the weekend before for a PSA. For lenses we mostly used the 24-75mm canon f2.8, or the 50mm prime f1.4. The 24mm was perfect for the wide shot, since we needed to fit 5 band members and a moving cave facade all at the same time. When I had the time, I grabbed some still shots as well.
Thanks to Brad, Jun, Raffi & Shant in the band – and the many hats worn by Miss Britt. (transpo, AD, craft services, wine giver, breakfast sandwich maker, joker)

This is a pretty little time lapse done on the Canon 5DMII.

I did a photo shoot at MTA gym with Roxy Ricahrdson, muay thai fighter, personal trainer and IAMTF US Women’s Lightweight Champion 2008 & 2009. She can kick the crap out of you and fights in a hot pink skirt! The selects aren’t up yet, but the shoot turned out so well, I had to post a few faves early. Check her out: roxyfit.com. Gorge. I recently did an engagement photo shoot in Venice beach for Chantal & Mario, who are getting married this year. They were seriously adorable and fun. See all the pictures here.
